The Sparkler, they say, is the world's oldest cocktail. It thus carries many stories, many traditions, and therefore many variations.

One of the most popular used to be the "chauffeur's" or "Mussolini's" spritzer. Raspberry infusion was added to the wine and mineral water, and a refreshing, aromatic and slightly sweeter version of the spritzer was quickly and easily prepared.
